Official training starts tomorrow…

Tomorrow is the official start of my marathon training.  I’ll be using Higdon’s novice 1 program.  It’s an 18 week program and yes I got the app for it.  I’m excited and nervous at the same time.  I looked at the calendar and the mileage gets incredibly high.  The most I’ve ever run is 14 miles and I did Galloway, 3:1.  It was long.  I’ve run half marathons (4 to be exact) my first one solo and the other three with a partner.  I must say the support is much appreciated.  I’ve also run 12 miles by myself around my neighborhood and it can get pretty boring, but I finished and felt great.  So, pretty much I’ve only run half the distance I need to cover by February.  I don’t know what I’m thinking except I’m looking forward to crossing the finish after 26.2 miles.  Tomorrow is a rest day in my program, but I might consider running anyway, just a couple miles and maybe some Pilates before work.  I get grumpy when I don’t exercise.  My clients will probably appreciate me better that way.  I also have a 12 hour day to look forward to tomorrow so a little movement in the morning helps me make it that long.  I’m off to bed now.  Happy miles!
